Job Description
Labourer Agency is currently recruiting an experienced and reliable Painter and Decorator for an immediate-start opportunity in Wakefield, WF1.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality painting and decorating work across residential, commercial and construction projects. You will need practical experience in surface preparation, painting, finishing and general decorating techniques, with the ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare walls, ceilings, doors, windows and other surfaces for painting and decorating.
Clean, scrape, sand, fill and prime surfaces to achieve a smooth finish.
Apply emulsion, gloss, satin, varnish and other decorative coatings.
Carry out interior and exterior painting and decorating work.
Repair minor cracks, holes and damaged surfaces before applying finishes.
Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment and other decorating tools safely and effectively.
Protect floors, furniture, fixtures and completed surfaces during work.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
Follow site health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
Keep tools, materials and working areas clean, organised and safe.
Work professionally alongside other construction trades and site supervisors.
Requirements and Skills
Previous experience working as a Painter and Decorator.
Good knowledge of painting, decorating and surface preparation techniques.
Ability to produce clean, professional and high-quality finishes.
Experience using brushes, rollers, fillers, sanders and decorating equipment.
Good understanding of construction site health and safety.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
Ability to travel to Wakefield WF1 and surrounding areas.
Valid UK right to work.
CSCS card is advantageous and may be required depending on the site.
