Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, psychological, and environmental needs to develop, implement, and evaluate individualised treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and adaptive equipment recommendations to maximise patients' functional independence in daily living, work, and leisure activities.
- Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs), including physiotherapists, social workers, and Nursery Nurse / Practitioner colleagues in paediatric settings, to ensure a holistic care approach.
- Deliver specialist interventions for conditions such as stroke, brain injury, musculoskeletal disorders, mental health challenges, and geriatric care.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records in line with HCPC standards and contribute to service development and audit processes.
Essential Requirements & Qualifications
Professional Registrations
- Valid registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
- Membership with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) is highly desirable.
